This morning I found fewer migrants at my feeders. About 6 black-headed grosbeaks, 3 Bullock’s and 2 Hooded orioles along with a single pine siskin and male Costa’s hummer. A single Harris’ hawk was seen at the north end of town. The white-crowned sparrows have left. They had been around my feeders and brush pile consistently since last Fall. On Saturday 4-20-13 I counted 8 of them at my feeders. Likewise, there were no yellow-rumps to be seen.
At the lake there were 3 green heron, the Pacific Loon, eared grebe, snowy egret, tricolored blackbirds, California quail and Wilson’s warblers.
